NBA Hangtime > NBA Jam, though I prefer the N64 or PS1 port the best the Genesis port isn't bad. But playing NBA Hangtime or Jam alone isn't as much fun.Bikeage wrote:Huh, no ones mentioned a sports game besides NBA Jam. Being stuck on a desert island with no one around I'd probably pick NBA '95. Leading every team to a championship after a full season of the hardest AI would kill a lot of time.

That is a true fact.Bradtemple87 wrote:Streets of Rage 2 is my favorite genesis game of all time. I will also go as far as saying it's my favorite genesis soundtrack.
I was thinking of something like Gunstar Heroes because that would last me far longer with new content. All the different difficulty levels and all of the different weapons would make each play through very unique.
However, Streets of Rage 2 is my favorite Genesis Game of all time and I cannot ignore that fact. I could play that every day and be very happy.

That is an excellent choice. When I got my Sega CD, this may have been the game we played the most on the the little sega genesis collection that came packed in. The songs in Columns are seriously some of the best stuff on the system. I could listen to them all day!Soldier Blue wrote:Columns

X-Men, for purely subjective reasons. It was the one game I was jealous of the Genesis having over Super Nintendo. Sonic? Meh. Streets of Rage? Whatever. X-Men? WAAAANT. Objectively the game isn't that great, the gameplay is clunky. But it was so easy to forgive that because the game featured so many different mutants, and if you liked X-Men, it was almost impossible to have just one favorite mutant. Plus it helps that the sprite animations were great and the colors were spot-on.
