Why all the reseller hate? (+Poll)

I don't usually sell stuff, so I fully support someone reselling something I gave or sold to them. I voted "Good on 'em". I generally give old hardware away when someone I know needs it and I never use it. Video game stuff I generally save for the Racketboy auction because selling it requires more work on my part if it doesn't perform to the buyer's specifications. I never sell stuff on ebay because despite my assessment, if the buyer has a problem (or even if it's just out of spite) I'll probably lose out. Once it's out of my hands , I had already decided I no-longer wanted it. If the new owner could make a profit, or wanted to keep it and use it, I'm happy either way. I get a bit bothered when I give a friend something that was rare/expensive and I find later that they never used it, or worse, their kids broke it before it had been turned on.

At preschool they teach my son that "hate" is a bad word. Every time I say the word "hate" he yells at me (or "stupid" for that matter).
