Robotnik is my preferred name as well as it has such a delightful rhythm to it. I mean....can you honestly say you prefer the title, "Dr. Eggman's Mean Bean Machine," honestly?Stark wrote:Oh I know it's been Eggman in Japan since the beginning. It would be like having a show based on Mega Man and everyone was calling him Rock Man the whole time.Konacha wrote:Well, to be fair it has always been Dr. Eggman, in Japan at least (Dr. Robotnik never existed in Japan). It's that they rebooted then merged storylines from Japan, US & Euorpe during the Sonic Adventure days to make Dr. Eggman his "nickname" while Robotnik is his real name. At this point I don't think we will ever go back to the Robotnik days since Sega of Japan is more in control with their games.Stark wrote:I watched the snippet of the TV show and was bummed that it was Dr Eggman instead of Robotnik. I like Robotnik way better than Eggman.

Thats why they kept it Puyo Puyo. Japan doesn't need Kirby, Sonic or whoever else they used for the series to sell in Japan.
Where's my chippy? There's my chippy.

I always preferred "Robotnik".
I think the trailer makes the game look really disappointing. Just run in a straight line like the other recent games... great. Apparently though, according to some reviews (http://www.gamespot.com/articles/how-do ... 0-6420001/), there's some exploring segments and puzzle-solving platform stuff. Maybe they just cut those parts out entirely in the trailer?

Watched a few bits of gameplay here and there. The game looks pretty bad and very glitchy.

Watched a few scens from the cartoon and it's REALLY bad. It's a shame that the first video game series with a GOOD cartoon has had so many missfires since then (and I'm not even talking about the games
)

A haiku:
No good Sonic shows
Sonic's not supposed to talk

Which are the the good Sonic shows?

The ones in the clouded memories of sad adults grappling with a warped sense of childhood nostalgia.Sload Soap wrote:Which are the the good Sonic shows?
