Were you ever planning on selling it anyway?

Plans? no, but you never know what happens.

It is also just generally better, at least to me, when items or collectibles you own retain some value.

It really is just a mediocre game anyway. My wife loved Silent Hill games, so I suggested it to her and I think she received it as a gift. So technically it is her copy and not mine haha.
Oh, I know. My ex-girlfriend owned a copy, and as a horror game fan, I was sorry to see it go. I'll track down a copy someday.

I'll sell my copy for $200!

And I don't expect any offers!

But if some crazy nutjob wants to buy it for that amount, I won't pass it up!

I guess I just look at it from more of a "how much will I have to pay if I need to replace this" standpoint. Easier and cheaper it is to replace, the better imo.

I looked up the price of this and I'm shocked. I played this forever ago and I thought it was somewhere around plain bad and average. Wouldn't pay $10 to revisit this let alone $80 and up.

It's partly due to the low print run and partly due to it being controversial and banned in some countries, hence the increased interest.

......are you selling it?

I really don't care how much my collection is worth. In fact, I'd be thrilled if the retro collecting bubble were to burst and the value of my collection dropped 90%, as long as video games in general did the same.

Again, I don't plan to, but I do not know. I have had other things I wasn't planning to sell but did. My collection is actually a liquidable asset at this point. If I needed money I could sell them. I paid for my daughters birth hospital bills by having a sale about a year ago.

If I own something, I prefer it retains value.
