Playing Lunar 2. What an awesome port!

I'm sorry I ever tried to reach out to you. I won't make the mistake of letting that happen again. I'm also sorry to inform you that like many out there on forums like these you make the mistake of confusing fact with your opinion.
If you don't see the improvement in slowdown when using the 1Mb cart vs without during the Juggernaut vs Blackheart match you should probably stop reviewing games as you are obviously unqualified to do so.
Have a good one.

You are mistaken yet again. What I have addressed (as well as every issue stated on my review) about the game on the Saturn is not Opinion, but fact! The game is slow regardless of how you choose to play the game, (with or without a Cart) compared to its original Arcade CPS II counterpart product which is the main issue here. I've played the arcade version for a better part of a decade to know the difference. I also own the the official digital release of the game which was based off of the original CPS II code. I own every iteration of the game outside of the actual CP system II Board. The game on the Satrun is slow... not only is it slow, but also incredbily inconsistent in gamespeed during gameplay where one second its fast, then all of a sudden its snail slow and everything in between. It's awful!
You really don't seem to understand that whatever improvement in speed the game gets with a Cart (and the "improvement" is terribly marginal), It doesn't justify the fact that its still not as fast as not only the Arcade version but even worse, the PSX version, not to mention the fact of having to endure stupid long loadtimes in the process.
Thanks for the advice but I will continue doing reviews
Ditto.

Nice! I've "heard" that Saturn had the best port of that game. Are you using a translation guide of some kind?

Nope. I read Japanese. I bet there is a translation guide on the 'net somewhere.
Still need to get Lunar 1...

Even back then, though, the Lunar games weren't a high priority because Working Designs released them on the PSX (unfortunately for us Sega fans, of course). I'm close to fluent in Japanese and played through most of the games that way back in the day when I imported them, but just doing a quick search there doesn't seem to have been much progress made in the past 10 years. If I get some more free time in the next few months I've been kicking around the idea of translating Soul Hackers since all of the groups that took it up never got around to finishing it, although it's apparently coming stateside on the 3DS so I don't know if there would be enough interest to bother with it.

Yea, I doubt there will be much on Soul Hackers since the US release for 3DS is already out.
The fan translations tend to focus on games that really don't have any version in English.

Thanks for that, I haven't had the time to get back into gaming with my work schedule until recently, and I'm just catching up on what has/hasn't been released on the handhelds and collection discs. Just out of curiosity, has anyone started a thread listing the games that people would still really want translated, or maybe would it be worth it to start one? To be honest, I work a lot of hours so I don't want to commit to being a part of a group lest I get people ticked off at me (and I know zero about coding), but I might be open to working on a text translation of a game (or down the road maybe more than one) if someone could just take that and create a patch.
