Those stories are the best. Right place / right time and people just want machines gone.

I talked to the guy I got my net city from and he had a couple left. I couldn't help myself, had to get one for tate games.

Yeah I saw that thread. I pray whoever got that deal will care for them/keep them.

I paid $600 each for the cabs; I tried to get a little bit of a price break on the 2nd one but I couldn't blame the guy for not giving me one. He has had a LOT of interest in the cabs, and of course the only price you can easily find online for a net city is $1100 from thegameroom.com. Obviously something from Ken (thegameroom) would probably be a lot cleaner, but as far as I was concerned, the price and location were right. Literally a half tank of gas was my transportation cost; a lot less risk/cost than a group buy, and I could test the monitors before I paid. Both cabs have auto trisync MS-2933 monitors, so despite how dirty they were I can't complain about the cost. I've had to replace pretty much all the fans, but that's kind of to be expected.

I'm waiting on a 2p panel for the yoko cab, keeping the tate one 1p. Once I'm done with the fans/cp work, I look forward to having some company over for a game night.

I can finally upload the pictures and pieces I have purchased over the past couple months. I know a few of you have been curious how my new machine turned out. I have done a lot of work since my blast city arrived in our group buy. I started with taking magic erasers to every inch of that machine, repopulated the control panel, cleaned up the chassis, and replaced the kick harness for the IO board.

awesome find on the Taito bartop, Temple. I almost pulled the trigger on an SNK one about a year ago, but it was while we were still in saving-for-down-payment mode, so couldn't justify the $200 the guy wanted, which felt a *bit* on the high-side to me anyway.

Before I post my whole gameroom set up, I figured I'd throw my cabs in the club here

My Tekken 6 HD Noir cab (Cthulu'd to play any console with USB and JAMMA boards), with a custom Marquee I made out of some random pages of an old 2003 Capcom works calendar





and my Taito Egret 29 w/ Rotatable screen for standard and vertical shmups. I have a Jpac for using MAME, I also have a 1 slot and 4-slot MVS, 2 Naomi (1 GD Rom, 1 Cart only) boards, 1 Atomis Wave and about 25 various standalone JAMMA boards. With a nice Quiz and Dragon's Marquee just thrown in the mix.





I also have a Windy with a busted monitor in my garage waiting to be fixed...and for me to find room -_-.

But yea, I wanted to join the club here while I build up the courage to show off my actual gameroom and collection stuff.
