Re: 3DS - Animal Crossing: New Leaf
Jay_red I could hook you up with some gyroids, if you want. It's been raining like crazy for the past few days in my game and gyroids have been springing out of the ground like weeds.
I actually have a ton of furniture that I've bought, some I'm not sure if I will ever use. I probably should consider gifting some of it.

As for the furniture, I guess I should be a little more clear, I have had a bit of furniture, but its been stupid stuff I dont want in my house. I think I got almost the whole "balloon" set, which I sold, I got most of the fruit set, which I sold. I want something normal looking haha.

Gyroids are basically used as furniture. They make noises depending on their type and shape, but you can turn them off if you don't like it. I usually use ones that fit with my rooms theme or whatever music I have playing.
As for finding good stuff... yeah, all you really can do is keep checking shops, run errands for villagers, or shake trees (there are two items hidden in the trees per day). But you can also display gyroids, fish, bugs, clothing, or patterns that you have created as carpet/wallpaper, or my new favorite, hang them up like a painting. Here is one of a Starman that I made the other day:

Just some ideas.

Sounds like you are all far ahead of me. I don't even know what these things are, haha. But I am also trying to balance Animal Crossing w/ Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, Fire Emblem Awakening, The Last of Us, and Project DIVA F.
Would love to come visit some of your towns sometime!

Yeah, mine are even lower today.
On the plus side, I am racking in a ton of bells with the "Wealthy Town" ordinance.

Re: 3DS - Animal Crossing: New Leaf
Some big things have happened in my village today. Managed to get the Dream Suite built--I haven't tried visiting anyone's town using it, but I did manage to set up my town up so other people can visit it through dreams. My Dream Address is 5500-2156-0270 if any of you guys wanna take a look. 'Course, you are all still welcome to visit my town normally as well (as a FYI, I do tend to open my gates during the evenings in case anyone is interested).
Nooklings also upgraded their store, which finally means better item selection, and I now have access to item customization at Re-tail. Really, this feature adds such a new dynamic to setting up your house. Quick example of the first piece of furniture I tried customizing (an alpine low table):
Before

After

Really can't wait to see what else there is for me to customize in the game. It's pretty cool.
Oh yeah, I also tried my hand at QR Codes, if anyone is interested in my Starman design:

Not sure if this has been posted here.

Personally I would just create a hotspot on my phone and name it, rather than changing my SSID.

Hmm. This game looks really fun. I'm on the brink of buying a 3DS XL and I don't think I can wait much longer
