Re: Erik Twice Reviews thread - Recommend me games to review

You make fair points. Perhaps I should retry the game and try to see the puzzles from a different point of view.

I was kind of rushing the game so that might have been part of the problem :P

Braid would be a good game to review and it should be cheap to get a copy. I would rather play Fez instead, though. It looks cute.

No you will review ANOTHER puzzle platformer first. Of the black and green kind. With smelly gorrilas as your enemy.

Re: Erik Twice Reviews thread - Review Zombies ate my Neighb

Post by Erik_Twice »

I don't think anyone can go wrong with Zombies ate my Neighbours. It's one of those games I go back from time to time and each time I like it more. So I ended up praising it quite a bit

Reminder: Buy a copy before the price rises more.

Re: Erik Twice Reviews - FLASHBACK: Berzerk

Post by Erik_Twice »

Berzerk is simple but not at all thoughtless. It puts you in an interesting state where ideas flow through your head, a middle point between excitement and relaxation and as you conquer the game’s small challenges you may slowly drift…into the zone.

A pretentious article. Bear with me.

Berzerk and a different state of mind

Re: Erik Twice Reviews - FLASHBACK: Strider

Post by Erik_Twice »

I took a break but I'm back with a vengance!

Strider is one of Capcom's greatest platformers and one of those games with a tight, nasty but fair arcade philosophy that so many gamers appreciate. It's fun and pretty accessible, and I heartly recommend reading about it if you haven't played it, or telling me what you think if you already have:

Strider’s deceptively tough, delightfully cool

I changed my blog a bit and it now looks slighty less terrible. Let's see if I can get everything working again :)

If you have any feedback, complaints or ideas, this is the moment to speak. I would really appreciate it

Re: Erik Twice Reviews - A coat of paint

I just uploaded the only "bad" review I have right now. Arkham Horror, a Lovecraftian cooperative game that is widely loved in boardgaming circles (Top 86 in BGG) but which I find quite flawed. However, if you can ignore its main flaw, it's really fun, hence the review.
