Color me intrested when the systems drop in price. I'd rather get a 3DS and a Vita before I get a Wii U or PS4/720.

Right now I can tell you several games on the 3DS I want

Tekken 3D Prime (YAY Tekken on the crapper!!! in 3d)
DOA Dimensions
Blazblue (Blazblue on the Crapper YAY)
Shinobi
Mario Kart 7
Smash Bros (it is coming to the 3DS last I knew)
Ridge Racer
Sonic Generations
Super Mario 3D land

and coming out

Shin Megami Tensei IV (Which I still think should be on a console)
Project X Zone

Plenty to keep me busy on the 3DS

Ill probably pick up a Vita 2-3 years down the line, i didnt get a PSP till 2011.

As for games coming out soon. I was playing the Metal Gear Rising Demo and was pretty impressed that and the new Do Don Pachi may be my final current gen games.

That's being a little generous, as I'd probably get Retro City Rampage on PC instead, and Zero Escape on 3DS. And did you seriously list Black Ops Declassified? One of the worst games of 2012?

Hey man, I'm not the one that said there were NO GAMES on the Vita. That is a demonstrably false statement. I've not played CoD and I'm guessing neither have you, so hard to say if it is good or not. He should have said, "no games that I want." Until Mirror of Fate comes out there are no system sellers for me on the 3DS. Are there a few that I would play and will once I have a 3DS? Yes. Mario Kart and Professor Layton, but they aren't system sellers to me.

Vita owners are strongly reminding me of PS3 owners before MGS4 came out. Except with the Vita there's less hope on the horizon. Really, if you have to convince everyone who doesn't own your system that it doesn't suck, you've already lost. This is not a good position for Sony to market from.

It's clearly not everyone. If you're counting the small handful of people on this forum, I've seen literally every console bashed here. Some people don't care for the Master System, some shrug their shoulders at the Genesis, the N64 had a whole thread necessary to defend itself, the Dreamcast regularly gets shot down, the Xbox and 360 and PS3 and Wii and Wii U and 3DS all are derided here by some, or were at some point. The slow start for the Vita is nothing different. People are too damn demanding. FFS, get a life. There's a huge library of unplayed games numbering in the thousands. Anyone who complains that the Vita doesn't have very many good games yet clearly have amnesia.

It has potential LOTS of potential. But I have to ask, Ok what games does it have? Then What games does it have that appeal to me? Of those games that Appeal to me how many of them can I play elsewhere. OK What does this offer me that I can't get else where to justify my purchase of this system at this moment in time.

As for Why I don't consider the Wii U to be a next gen system... maybe that's because it's just an XBOX 360 with 2 gigs of Ram and a processor with a slower clock speed. That doesn't mean it's a BAD system and I am considering buying one (but they really need to make that tablet controller smaller.)

I don't care if PS4 come out soon or next year. I did notice a chunk video games that haven't been released yet: FINAL FANTASY Versus XIII, Grand Theft Auto 5, Gran Turismo 6, Cyberpunk, Tekken X Street Fighter, Agent, ico project, Rain, Until Dawn, Beyond: Two Souls, The Last of Us, Eight Days, The Getaway 3, metal gear solid 5, and Final Fantasy XIV. These games could end up on ps3 or ps4. Every time I see M$ announce something at e3 they seem to not try and less excitement every year. Ps3 was released in 2006 and now its 2013.

Erm...did you consider the Wii different gen from 360/PS3, if not then your point doesn't make sense.

Generation doesn't necessarily mean higher graphical power (though the Wii-U is more powerful than the 360 by a decent amount). I mean did you consider the N64 a different generation even though it was clearly more powerful than the Jaguar, Saturn, PSX, 3DO by a lot?
