I just wanted to chime in and say I'm enjoying the heck out of this game on PC. I've already invested countless hours into the PS3 version but the PC version is far superior. Not only are the graphics far better (with the resolution mod) but the frame rate has been rock solid for me, even in blight town.
You can grab it at greenmangaming.com right now for $32. Well worth it IMO.

Wait, so they ended up fixing the frame rate issues after all?Phades wrote:I just wanted to chime in and say I'm enjoying the heck out of this game on PC. From what I've read, it's fixed at 30 FPS, but it doesn't dip in Blighttown. But that's probably because you can throw enough hardware at it that it doesn't matter how poorly optimized it is.Dylan wrote:Wait, so they ended up fixing the frame rate issues after all?Phades wrote:I just wanted to chime in and say I'm enjoying the heck out of this game on PC. Ah, I didn't realize that it was a trade like that. That's too bad, I'll probably just stick with the PS3 version.MrPopo wrote:From what I've read, it's fixed at 30 FPS, but it doesn't dip in Blighttown. The console versions are locked at 30fps as well...

I'm pretty excited for Artorias of the Abyss as well. What I'm not looking forward to are some of the nerfs the items are getting, particularly the dark wood grain ring. My character is completely built around that stupid thing...

If you can run it and have an Xbox 360 controller sure!noiseredux wrote:it's on sale for $7.50 thru Amazon. Should I get it?flex wood wrote: And if its a bad port will noise become a PC gamer?
Just keep in mind is pretty unplayable with the mouse and keyboard. They really goofed that up.

if the game had no kb/m support, and you didn't tell me, I would never notice.
Re: Dark Souls making its way to PC!
You playing with a 360 controller? I'm tempted, but I don't have one. I'd have to use a PS2 controller with a USB adapter.noiseredux wrote:if the game had no kb/m support, and you didn't tell me, I would never notice.
Also, why should I get it on PC and not PS3 or 360? I don't own either of those consoles, but I assume I will one day.
To be fair, they were going to pirate it anyway, and this is just an excuse. They know we and everyone else know that it's all BS, but they don't care. Probably half-trolling/half-convinced themselves.J T wrote:It always irks me how people use the slightest complaint as justification for piracy.flex wood wrote:I've read a bunch of comments about people planning to pirate DS because of this which just brings up the whole entitled whiny PC gamer stereotype.
