I guess I got lucky. I didn't preorder until this past weekend because I have the pal version. But I had some left over credit by not getting my me3 preorder (got a CE from amazon instead) so I just transferred it over. I asked about the art book and the guy said they were all accounted for. When I went to pick it up today, the employee who helped me was a new guy. He handed an art book to me with my game. So maybe they are just giving them out first come for those picking up their copies? No complaints from me lol

For me, the manager opened a box and counted the artbooks and the number of preorders he had, and said, "I only have artbooks for instore orders, sorry"

The books were there, but he wouldn't hand me one :S
If you aren't having a good time, why are you playing?

I actually had to ask about the art books. The guy who helped me didn't even know about the art books in the first place. They actually had to go to the back to find them...so I guess anyone who picked up before me didn't get one.

(And I also preordered like 2 months in advance...I would've been PISSED if I didn't get one)

I picked up my copy yesterday, since all stores are closed today.

The clerk said there were a grand total of four pre-orders for the game, and one of those was an employee. I pre-ordered about two weeks ago. They had two art books. I got one of them. I am not usually one to care about such things, but it is surprisingly well made, and has me excited for the game.

I still no almost nothing about the game, except that it can be relatively long to play. I have completely avoided all videos, forum threads, articles, spoilers, etc. If I wasn't trying to unpack from moving to a new house, I would already be playing. Actually, I just finished completely connecting my HDTV and stereo system, so I am ready to play later tonight. It was a higher priority. :)

Why are so many people picking it up "tomorrow"? Is this just because you don't have a ride to the store, or are some stores not releasing it until the 7th. The street date was the 6th, but everything is closed here for Easter, so we got it on the 5th.

Yeah. Only banks and government offices are closed on Good Friday here. Got mine today, and rolled the pre-order for The Last Story.

If I don't get my art book I will file a small claims suite just to mess with them. The only reason I got a copy from them.

Bummer about the short supply. I managed to get my book. Didn't even have to ask. They just handed me the game and then handed me the book. I posted some pictures in the Nintendo section if anyone is interested.

OK, found out they have simple return policies. If no art book is there I can just send it back for a refund. I also got the bundle from Nintendo because I never got around to getting a classic controller. Figured I would keep the art book and Gamestop one sealed.

Dude, that's fucking weak. You guys got robbed.

I pre-ordered in-store 2 months ago, so I was gonna go ape shit if I didn't get the artwork book.
I called them up and explained that I picked up my pre-order copy today and didn't get the art book, the employee apologized for that and said he'll put one aside for me. So I just ran down there and picked it up.

This was not listed any where on or near the pre-order page where I placed my order. I chose to get mine shipped to me cause the nearest Gamestop is an hour drive. I bet there won't be an art book. But I should just have to mail it back for a refund, witch is what I will do. Man I really hate Gamestop.
