PS3 Titles Worth Playing

Bumping this, has anyone here played Folklore? Any good?

Back when I first got a PS3, and blockbuster was still around, I rented it and liked it well enough. I don't really remember enough about it to say whether or not it's worth a playthrough though. At the time, I focused much more on Resistance.

I have it and played it for a bit. It's a really good game. It has a Pokemon type of collecting thing going on and the enemy models are really well done the combat is also pretty fun.

I think that it is going to end up as a hidden gem down the line since it was an early ps3 title and hardly anyone seems to have heard of it.

Folklore's definitely worth picking up if you find it cheap. I liked it.

I think there's a demo of it on PSN if you want to try it out.

There's definitely a demo because I tried it and decided it wasn't for me. Something about the game just rubbed me the wrong way.

There are definitely some interesting elements to Folklore. That said, as I recall, the cutscenes feel very, I dunno, last gen? Rushed? A lot of static-ish screens and text for a PS3 title.

Also, you swap between two characters, but do largely the same thing with either, making it quite repetitive.

I do think it was somewhat overlooked. It was a title that I tried the demo for, liked well enough, but kept not seeing for a decent price (it eventually fell, and is fairly cheap now).

Yeah, I'm kind of just interested in very Japanese-esque PS3 titles for now. Maybe Nier would be a better one to get before Folklore? That one I'm pretty much set on getting eventually.
