Re: The 2011 Racketboy Charity Auction - GO BID!

Post by aaron »

i'd like to shed some more info on the "Retro Game Magazine subscription" items.

i have two full years' worth of Game Players magazine and each one is individually packaged in an envelope. on the first of every month in 2012, i'll be dropping one off at the post office. you'll get a new issue each month just like a real magazine subscription. and no, i won't substitute it with esquire or something without notice :)

go bid on these :)

I would suggest that you change the address on the subscription so that you don't have to deal with the expense of forwarding it each month. You probably can even change the name on it.

I think you misunderstood. He's going to send the winner an OLD issue each month. Rather than send all 12 issues at once, he's going to send it monthly so that it's kind of fun -- like getting an actual subscription, except they're not new magazines.

yeah, this. i have a full years' worth of GP from 1995 and 1996 (with holiday issues :)) and i'll be sending them monthly so, like noise said, it'll be like having an actual subscription.

cheaper than a time machine!

Well, I tried to register last night, but didn't get my temporary password email. I did the 'send us an email if you don't get your email' thing and still don't have a reply to that yet. :?

Obvious question, but did you check your spam folder?
