BonerFapJizz (I couldn't resist  ) makes excellent points. I think I am almost straddling the lines between becoming obsessive about my "collecting." I am trying to tone it down now and just become realistic about what I want to collect. Obviously, there are always financial and spacial constraints. I have always found enjoyment finding great deals on current gen stuff (thanks to Cheapassgamer.) My friends and family are always amazed by my very large collection of games for the current gen systems at the given time.

Which is what I'm doing right now, because, I don't find it fun.

Honestly I may do what Noise is and stick with a BC PS3. I really hate having more than one unit to play on, and I'd like to have it at my desk (which I can do with a PS3)

exactly. My PS3 is hooked up HDMI to a nice big Acer monitor. No clutter.

Running out of space is the worst part. I can't even get to some of my games right now because of all the other (game related) shit stacked in the way!

*joins party late, skips everything after page 1*

It sounds like you know there's a problem...and that's the first step

Really, your doing it right - right now though - analzying what you should do going forward. Not making quick decisions until batting around what you really want to do.

I think most of us have had this internal struggle: Am I a Gamer who collects, or a Collector who games. That is a difficult question because when that answer changes (and it changes frequently for some of us) then your filled with all kinds of regrets, and as you said, you end up rebuying a game you just traded away.

Heres where i'm at, currently more gamer than collector. But because I know this will change at any moment, i'm not trading or selling anything I don't have dups of, because it isn't worth the regrets.

For me what that means is I want the best version of game, on the best console, using the best stick / pad.

Obviously space / money / time become issues and will alter what we decide to do. My advice would be to simply stay away from any selling / trading of anything until you are confident where your at. This is such a shitty post and I don't think i've made any sense other than the key point. You are not alone...and we love you.
