Wow. House of Payne and Full House are so similar that this makes me almost shocked. MADEA GOES TO JAIL and BIG HAPPY FAMILY are pretty hilarious. The reason I don't like House of Payne is that it just feels much cruder and less entertaining than Full House. One of the main appeals of Full House for me is that sense of innocence and simplicity that was very common for 90's sitcoms. Full House managed to capture that, while still being genuinely funny and enjoyable. House of Payne just feels like it is going through the motions for a sitcom [Yes, I realize that FH wasn't exactly original, but HoP is a modern show, and should be held to modern standards], and it certainly doesn't help that Tyler Perry's other major show, Meet the Browns, is essentially the same show.
