Yeah it seems like this thread became primarily about Metal Gear

I appreciate the MGS series, but people are ALWAYS talking about them. Tiresome

It's also the half that has been around for generations and everybody knows and loves.

You know how people know about Zone of the Enders? It came with a demo for Metal Gear Solid 2. That's the only reason a good chunk of us (myself included) ever became interested in or associated with the series at all.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed it, but I would have had a hard time picking it up back then without that taste of MGS2.

While it has its moments, Zone of the Enders will ultimately be remembered more for its packed-in demo of Metal Gear Solid 2 than its own accomplishments as a video game.

Um, yeah guys, I get it. Metal Gear Solid is awesome. EVERYONE already knows that. Hence my earlier complaint. You don't need to sell me on something I've already heard a billion people praise. Again, see my earlier complaint

That said, I did come off as a little trolly. I'm just sort of tired of no one ever talking about that OTHER Hideo Kojima series. I've heard every kind word there possibly is to hear about the MGS series a thousand times over already. Who hasn't?

You're forgetting Snatcher, another Kojima game. As for not talking about ZOE, there are good reasons for that. It has much smaller fanbase (I've never touched the series myself, so I can't talk about it much), it only has 2 games in the series compared to like 10 in the MGS series, and of those two games, only one is actually great. Plus, this MGS collection has more games in it to discuss, and more unanswered questions than the ZOE collection does.

Yeah, and most people don't really talk about those much either. I would just like to see more appreciation for Kojima than just MGS this MGS that all the time. It actually bugs me that that is largely the reason why he probably doesn't spend much time pursuing other projects. I would like more of Kojima's ideas explored outside the same damn series all the time. People complain about sequelitis all the time and MGS is a perfect example of that

You know I almost agree with that, though I might rank MGS 1 and ZOE 2 equally. Personally, I had more fun with ZOE 2 though. Smoother controls, something the MGS series has always struggled with
