You guys know me too well. I went over to GoG's website and checked over their entire catalog of titles two times over. I also checked their entire list of developers. The end result is no Japanese games and practically no interest from me. I ended up not buying a single game.
Yeah, I've noticed that there just aren't that many Japanese developers for PC titles that aren't just console ports. Off the top of my head the only ones I can think of are Touhou project and Recettear, which, if you ever decide to end your Steam boycott, is amazing.
Well there's stuff like Princess Maker and a bunch of visual novels and h-games and the like... and lots of nifty indie titles if you want to count them.
Digital has been a real blessing for me. I do not live in the US this makes getting games a bit more difficult specially when those games are old. We do have blockbusters and other game shops but most new games for the Wii cost around 83 USD. That's outrageous. Same with other consoles and computers, this has to do with import taxes and the cut the importer takes. So for me going on Steam and buying a game on sale for 5 bucks is a real blessing. I would love to have the manual, disc and box but we can't have everything. Besides lately I've been somewhat scared that my Dreamcast games are going bad on me so who knows this might also happen to my GC and Wii games. So for me atm PC games on on Steam and GOG are the way to go. I do dislike the Virtual Console way to buy things, it would be awesome if it were tied to an account or something like Steam. But I do like the convenience of having my favorite games in one console.
