Mostly, though, I collect dragons of any kinds. Posters, figurines, wall hangings, books, games, movies, blankets, stuffed animals, ornaments, furniture, if it has a dragon I'll collect it.

The last time I tried to count all my dragons I got to around four hundred and gave up.

That was about three years ago, and the collection's only grown since then.

It's hard to say, honestly. When I was younger it was Mercedes Lackey hands-down, and even recently I was ecstatic when she finally wrote a series with dragons, but as I got older and started doing more writing myself I noticed everything in her books that bugged me. I still love her books for sentimentality's sake, but these days I lean more heavily towards Robin McKinley, Robin Hobb, or more recently, Naomi Novik- a friend gave me the first couple Temeraire books for Christmas and I've been tearing through the series since. I also love Anne McCaffrey, though her stuff is sci-fi rather than fantasy, and I usually lean pretty heavy to the fantasy side.

And I will never read enough Terry Pratchett to content me. I will always want to read one more of his books.

Besides games, I have a ton of star wars stuff. Pretty much anything from lightsabers to books to action figures. I also used to collect older pokemon/yugioh cards, pokemon was always my favorite and a lot easier to play IMO and I still have my collections btw.

You know, I never played YuGiOh because I was one of the roughly four kids in my school who preferred Magic: The Gathering, but I ended up acquiring a deck because the guys I hung out with played YuGiOh every day and they all kept giving me cards. That deck actually ended up meaning a hell of a lot more to me than my old Magic or Pokemon cards.

That's kinda how I got into yugioh. I preferred pokemon, most of my friends played both and they gave me a bunch of cards. Of course I always forget how to play yugioh. Pokemon was so much easier to play. I still remember the rules

i used to, and still have, a shit ton of legos. in fact, a while back, probably 3 or so months ago, i pulled them out and tried building a castle. unfortunately, i didn't have nearly enough wall pieces and the project was scrapped.
Oh yeah, I've got a huge Rubbermaid tub full of Lego from my childhood, I don't have the patience anymore to sort through and find the one piece that I need. But I love every once and a while sprawling them across the floor for good fun.

my girlfriend who has been studying witchcraft for several years collect books on everything from Hoodoo/Voodoo/Traditional Witchcraft, etc.

so there's plenty of old books in our apartment (apart from all the games =))
Bibles and Witchcraft books, very intriguing mix :)

I'm a big collector, it's a bit of a sickness, really. Let's see here...

1. Video Game Collection - I own 20 systems dating from the Atari 2600 to modern systems. And I have over 300 games for them all. Most of it is retro-stuff.

2. Comic Collection. I've been collecting them since I was like 5 years old, and I'm turning 28 this year. I have between 3500 and 4000 comics. 80% of them are DC & Marvel super-hero comics, with another 10% being Star Trek comics. The last 10% is some random 90s Image & Valiant stuff. Specifically, I have a lot of Green Lantern, Spider-Man, Venom, JLA, JSA, Avengers, Ghost Rider, and Crossover Events.

3. Comic Card Collection. This is basically an add-on collection to my comic collection. A ton of DC & Marvel trading cards from the early-to-late 90s including Marvel Masterpieces, Marvel Flair, DC Universe, Spider-Man, X-Men, and others.

4. Magazines. I collect magazines of stuff I'm into. Metal magazines like Metal Hammer, Hit Parader, and others. Sci-Fi magazines like Starlog, Platinum, SFX, Star Trek, and others. Wrestling magazines: WWE Magazine & Pro-Wrestling Illustrated (PWI). And of course gaming magazines like Electronic Gaming Monthly, Gamer's Edge, and especially old Nintendo Powers and Sega Magazines.

5. CDs. This one isn't as impressive as my other collections. I used to download a lot of music, so my CD is kind of meager. But I'd like to own the actual albums. I have one CD travel case full, but I want a lot more.

wow dude! you brought me back! I'm your age as well. I still have my comic cards too! They're somwhere in my house. I have a thick binder full of them! that was what first got me in to comics in general as well. I remember buying them in the fifth grade an showing them off and trading them with classmates. I'd better go find them and stare at them for a while for old times sake!
