Well if you want to include those exceptions and variants. I'm talking about the main line of carts.Ziggy587 wrote:PS, some Famicom carts did in fact have top labels. http://famicomblog.blogspot.com/2009/12 ... -cart.html

On second thought the Atari Jaguar is the best looking console in my opinion.
Re: best/worst (looking) retro console and cartridge....
Impossible. Atari 2600 Millipede supports only digital joystick mode and not analog trackball mode. It's not possible for this to "work great". Unfortunately, I don't think there are any official Atari 2600 games that support analog mode. There is a hacked Missile Command available that supports real trakball mode, and Centipede/Milipede on the A800 support real trakball mode.Luke wrote:Just wanted to chime in and say I love the Atari 2600 Track Ball. Mine, although some yellowing on the ball (snicker snicker), still works great with Millepede.

It's not bad, the CD add on isn't bad either. But the controllers and carts are just god awfulATARI800XLfan wrote:On second thought the Atari Jaguar is the best looking console in my opinion.

Best looking: 3DO FZ-1
Runner Up: PS2 "phat"
3rd place: Sega Saturn M1 USA
Worst looking: N64
Runner up: SNES
3rd Place: 32x

Look at that handsome beast.
As far as controllers, I guess the Saturn M2 ones look pretty nice. I also like how the DualShock 3 looks.

The 2600 Atari and Wico Trakball emulates the 2600 Joystick. Not really a tight analog control like the 5200 version but 2600 Reactor is playable with one.Hatta wrote:Impossible. Best looking controller and console, USA SNES and also cartridge

There's just something about USA SNES...
For the worst i can think on the Genesis+Sega CD+32X

With the sega CD alone looks good but the 32X it's too much...
And followed by the black N64... i like the design but in black looks BORING

BUT i love the jungle green edition

Mind you, I grew up loving the NTSC-U SNES, but the PAL SNES and SFC really does look much better:
