It's not like baseball is hurting in that department.. It's still the second most profitable league in North America after the NFL..

I'd not have guessed that - I figured it was third after the NBA. Perhaps it is just because the sheer amount of games? Do you have some evidence to support this claim?
I am still disheartened about my Phils, but when I was in Middle School in TX I went to probably a dozen Rangers games and so they are probably my second favorite team (and favorite AL team). So, I will be rooting for them come Wednesday.
Also, I don't fully understand why the series will be bad for revenue - is it just the lack of an East Coast team? It seems to be that DFW and SF both have very sizable markets...

I read somewhere in Forbes that the MLB has better ratings along with the fact that they are outselling the NBA in merchandise... Also, Yoshi just posted a great link as well!! The NBA has actually been losing revenue the last couple of years and there is a fear of lockout due to labor issues.. Not to mention, David Sterns wants to
cut payroll on players..

I'm actually surprised that the NFL is ahead of the EPL.. And DAMN, almost twice as much revenue..

Yeah, the NBA is having a lot of trouble right now. Did you hear about the talk of possibly cutting teams from the league? Memphis and Sacramento, beware.

I'm not. Do you see how much money the NFL brings in from the Super Bowl alone? Those 30 second commercials were $2.6 million each last year!
