Apparently, you need to turn on DHCP in your router. There are plenty of pages online about how to find your router's settings page. If that doesn't work, try assigning a static [manually-set] IP to your Gamecube. The best way to do this is to run the command "ipconfig" in Windows, find your IP, add 10 to the last number of the address, and then use that address for your GC.

Damn, the Kai server in my area is STILL down. I swear, that thing is broken more often than it is working. I'll let you know when it's up again; I really want to play Mario Kart: Double Dash.
