I spent the last 30 seconds laughing at that. Rare console porn.

I like his arcade walkthroughs on the Gamester81Arcade channel but sometimes he goes through these places so fast and he misses a few games and/or gets some of the information wrong. I know he records the voice over after the video is made but again, that problem you pointed out, hit record button, watch video, thanks for watching see you next time!

I know this thread is a little dated but it seems like the best place to throw this out there.

I can't help but feel that many (not all) of the more popular youtube gaming personalities that I've followed for years have gotten to the point where they aren't really producing any new or interesting content. It all seems to be "watch my panel at this convention", or "watch me get interviewed by this guy", or "random stuff people sent me", ect, ect; with a very occasional installment of an actual "insert name here" episode just to keep fans subscribed. I get the feeling that in some cases egos have taken over and the programs that made these guys popular in the first place have taken a back seat. I suppose I could equate it to when a band or a writer gets really famous and their work starts to take a back seat to press tours, book signings, ect. Not that youtube fame is on the same level, but you get the idea.

This is by no means my way of bashing any youtubers out there, I'm just looking to get other peoples thoughts on the matter. Maybe I'm just getting tired of the youtube gaming "community" or whatever you want to call it. Maybe I'm just getting old and cranky. :P

FYI - I'm speaking mainly about the channels that have many thousands of subscribers and choose to monetize their videos, not the smaller ones.

The smaller channels are the only ones I watch. No flashy "lolrandom" camera work, shitty dialogue or pretentious and self-satisfied speeches about some crappy Flintstones Nintendo game they paid $400 for. WHICH IS A GREAT DEAL, TRUST ME.

Bithead1000 is actually the only channel I make sure to watch every video put out. His channel works because he's naturally funny and interesting. Dudes who don't have that personality just come off as trying too hard. I guess I just don't like "career Youtubers". Except Mark from CGR, I suppose. He's still cool.

Some other favorites:
SystemSyko (Unfortunatley he stopped making videos a while ago, but if you haven't seen him he has A TON to watch.)
Kristi O'Connell
