I hate you all. I broke down and ordered a GBA copy from the hated place. Should be here in a few days. Gonna play all of them in a row, and then smile with accomplishment LOL. Serioulsly, this got me back into it. Still looking for the SMS copy though for my collection if anyone has a reasonably priced one out there. Thanks for ressurecting this for me. You guys rule!

I just tried to start the game in my Game Gear/Master Gear, but the battery went dead. And it's a lost cause trying to play it on any of my 4 broken Master Systems. Maybe I need a Power Base Converter...

I finally got a hold of my Master System copy and I'm really amazed at how advanced it is! The detail is great and I love the battle animations. I've just gotten Odin and I'm on Motavia

Greetings my first TR thread.

I have the GBA compilation. It's a game I'd had a while before knowing about racketboy or TF, but I hadn't put any time into it. Its being the topic of discussion this month was ample reason to finally invest some diet cokes and controller throwing.

After a solid afternoon of play I am now grinding around Motavia, cursing that the 'free heal' hut on this planet is more cumbersome to reach than the last. I'm not sure how many baddies to expect in Maharu, and I don't have a great reference for how far along my levels are in relation to the surroundings, so I roam the sands refining my skills and practicing roping and chatting.

The sci-fi meets sword play of this game is a total winner. :D Rocket ships, potions, leather shields and plasma guns? It's a geek potpourri with ahead-of-its-time graphics.

I do feel like I'm bashing away on 'A' an awful lot. And I wish I could target a specific enemy of the multiples. :?: The clues are slim, but I admit... they're there! There is a plot, it its not the richly spun sort that really attaches me to the characters. The item progression seems perfectly linear and I guess that's fine. I do wish dungeon locks would stay open after using the key.

It was a kick to see the yellow dungeon walls on Motavia after the blue green of Palma.

My gaming time has been a little more limited than I expected, but I'll try and get in a second update next week.

I'm really hoping to beat the game this month -- but it's starting to look like a harder feat than I first imagined...

k.vlaros, are you using maps or anything? I've been playing using the Sega Hot Line Tip Sheet, which is just sort of a check list of goals to achieve. But I must admit, I have used maps a few times if I get stuck too long trying to find my way through a dungeon. They're so confusing!

I checked out an overworld map of Palma. I probably will find a map for the next dungeon. Life is too short and there are too many great games to avoid gamefaqs- that's my philosophy.

I generally attempt the Together Retro games faq-less, but these dungeons are just too much.

I'm currently making it through the icy planet of Dezoris.

as it turns out, I'm much further into the game than I had realized. I just made it through the tower above Scion, used the (SPOILERS!) prism to see the castle, turned Mayou into a bigger cat with wings and got killed by a dragon.

oh no. oh no! OH NO!

I think I'm completely fucked!! I made it past the red dragon, but it left my whole party with no MP left. And then I hit save. So I can make it to Lassic's door, but without MP I cannot even open it!! I have no healing items left either. SO I think that's it. I"m stuck at Lassic's castle in the sky -- and I don't think I can proceed.

Am I right? Wrong? Fastbilly are you out there?
