I ordered a mod kit from him and I'm still waiting for it to come. At least the mod looks nice and clean when its done. I like the work that you guys did on your systems.

Check if the solder points for the power plug on the board have been broken by the cord being yanked. You may simply be able to resolder it. You may also be able to use a pin and bend the leaf inside if that's the issue. Scavenge one from some dead electronic item, or maybe see here:christoph wrote:So I just got another Atari and when I put the AC jack into the input port on the console itself - it doesn't work. What I have to do is fiddle around with the AC jack and set it to the right place and then it will work, but once I let go it doesnt.
- I know its not my AC power supply because I have three and they work perfectly on other systems.
So obviously the power input port on the console is fucked - any one know of an easy fix for this or where I can buy that piece to replace?
Thanks!

I'm seeing some pictures. This one looks like it would probably work if the connections lead to the same pins.christoph wrote:I desoldered, then re soldered. Tried to bend the pins correctly. Still no luck.
I suppose I need to find a jack that has the exact pin placement as the Atari one. I didn't see any photos or really know how to tell on Digikey. Any ideas?

Re: Atari 2600 Won't Work Issue
I finally found some, but they're pretty expensive and will stick out like the RCA jacks. Apparently the trick is to search for "s-video bulkhead jack". The first one has 2 extra wires that wouldn't be needed for our mods, but they look a little different.christoph wrote: Any recommendations on where to look for this? I was looking through DIGIKEY's catalog and all I was finding is rubber grommets that may work. Didn't know if there was a better source for stuff like this.
