I've been trying to track one down for a while, because they (apparently) came with a restrictor for the stick to make it a proper 4-way so it's more authentic, but I've never actually seen the restrictor, so I have no idea what it looks like, or if it even exists. Have you heard anything about this?
I've never heard anything about this. I don't have a complete copy of Pac-Man for the NGPC (I printed a cover from The Cover Project), but I've never seen this mentioned in eBay auctions, or even in the Neo-Geo forums.

EDIT: Didn't realize that I double-posted so I deleted the last post.

Gal's Fighters
Sonic Pocket Adventure
SNK vs. Capcom MotM
Puzzle Bobble Pocket
Cotton
How much did you pay for Cotton?
I just came across one of these on eBay today! Looks pretty cool...

Wow, I can't believe I've never seen this considering how much NGPC stuff I've looking for lately. I even read GameSpot's review of the NGPC Pac-Man and there was no mention of the control ring.

Holy crap, that's the first I've ever actually seen one! They do exist! Nobody better get that before I do, I have to move some moneys around first.

[Edit] Crap, can't spare the cash right now, could somebody pick this up, and then trade it to me? I'll make a post to BST as well. PM me if you're up for it.

$48 shipped, from eBay! Way more than the other NGPC games, that's for sure, but worth it for me!

Wow, if that's CIB, then that's especially impressive.

Yeah, it's complete! It seemed like a good deal so I jumped on it! It's the Japanese version, and I know there's an EU cart floating around somewhere with English on it, but I couldn't pass this one up! Plus everything except the story cutscenes are in English anyway, so it's super import friendly.

Holy hell am I jealous! That's one of the non-US NGPC games that I care about.

This would be a neat project to do if anything ever comes of it. He has done GameGear & Gameboy in the past.
Dear sweet heavens, if the Pocket Linker gets revived, I WOULD WANT ONE.
Just to be clear on that.
My scheduling skills have died of dysentery; I hope to visit at least on a monthly basis.
Still, don't forget to tip your waitress.

Lucky! I am still looking for a reasonably-priced copy of the game, even if it is just cart-only.

Anyway, I just picked up a bunch of Japanese NGPC games today, with the highlights being the Japanese version of Evolution: Eternal Dungeons (Looking for the English version), and Pocket Love If. :)

I just picked up Faselei! today as my first NGPC game besides Hanabi (a pachinko sim -_-). I really like it so far. For a pocket game there's a lot of customization, and the missions are nifty with a replayability factor for getting better scores. My only complain, unless there is a way around this, is that you have to make five selections every turn. Why not stop at 3 and just be able to click OK and be done? Just a little strange, but it's impressive.

Just a side note: does anyone else really enjoy the joysticks on the NGPC? I think it feels perfect when being used, and the clicking sound reminds me of the AES :)
My Console Collection: 3DS (JPNS), Dreamcast (US and JPNS), Genesis, N64 (US and JPNS), iPod Touch, NES, Xbox, Famicom, Colecovision, Super Famicom, Neo Geo AES, Sega Saturn, DS LL (JPNS), Neo Geo Pocket Color.

I love the clicky stick. Wait til you play a fighting game with it - you'll love it and everyone else in the room will hate you for it - clickyclickyclickyclickyclickyclickyclickclickclickyclickyclickyclickyclickyclickclickclickclick
