Why is cussing bad?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Agreed?
I know it seems like common sense to you and me but most people don't understand it. It's actually uncommon sense since most people think the curse word itself is bad, regardless of everything else.

"Fuck, I stubbed my toe." is worse than "I murdered 15 people last night because they were wearing shoes."
I don't really think I met anyone last night - no matter how pure, religious, proper, polite they are - who has ever though the first sentence is worse than the second just because their is a curse word in it.
There are many who do. The FCC will fine TV and radio shows if they say "fuck", yet be perfectly okay with the second sentence. Parents who try to shelter their children from curse words but wouldn't have a problem with letting their kids watch a violent movie. And religious people of course. I'm talking about truly religious people, not those who claim to be but really aren't. Most people are not actually religious, it turns out. But lets save that for another day. I have a great idea for a future topic, hehe.

I personally think the first sentence is worse than the second. The first is unremarkable. The second is pretty funny, assuming you didn't actually do it.

I don't feel offended at all by either sentences. Neither do anyone I know.

I think cussing is good as it gets the message across clearer and allows one to release stress.
Hence a better question would be "Why is cussing good?" because it's not bad.
