Ahh, Christmas Vacation.

That movie is so accurate to nearly every Christmas at my house (Except for recently.) that it almost hurts.

That movie makes me miss Chicago so much, especially the beginning where Clark goes to Marshall Fields (screw you macy's). That scene also is one of my favorites for other reasons that I doubt need to be explained.

And the Griswald house! Yikes! They have got to live in Schomberg to have a house that huge near Chicago. I mean, even Al Bundy's house would go for millions in the windy city. The Griswald's must live near the McAllister's (see what I did there?).

How can you not notice the commercials running every five minutes saying that they're running it all week to celebrate it's 20th Anniversary?

I love christmas time. Some of the best memories I have of childhood are of spending the holiday with my mother and sister. For a long time I stopped caring about it as I got older and especially as I became an atheist in my teenage years. Now though that I have a great interest in Germanic Heathenry and the past culture and history of my ancestors I find myself very interested in Yule time and the pagan roots of many christmas practices. For the most part though I want my daughter to have great memories of the holiday time just as I do and I would never rob her of that. :D

Don't worry about money, everyone is broke these days.
I owe my credit card like a 1000 euro and still haven't bought any presents either.(I regret my frenzy spending last week)

Anyways, they say Christmas is about love and all that stuff. So who cares! We'll have fun anyways! :)

We put up our Present Tree yesterday and it finally got cold. Half of the shopping is done. A bunch of the guys that come over to play games all got awesome Japanese Mario shirts, dogs have a ton of treats including doggie candy canes, still need to buy the wife something...
