That pretty much sums up my fighting style.

I like to play with the girls or smaller characters, in other words I trade a slight boost in speed for a decrease in power.

For example in Tatsunoko vs Capcom I always have Roll as my second. She is not purely a keep-away character like a lot of people think. She is very good at up-close fighting this time around and because she's so short she screws up a lot of peoples combos. So even if I do take a hit or two they usually miss me on the third of fourth punch/kick when they attempt to start up some long combo.

With Roll I dash all over the place too. I dash in and start combos or give them a couple of pokes. I can dash away and double jump all over the place and play keep away. One of my favorite techniques to use is: Charge broom -> dash in -> do a small combo -> at the end of combo nail them with the broom sending them flying to the other side of the screen -> Heal myself (super) -> nail them with another short combo when they bounce off the wall and come back to me.

In that game I'm also a big fan of Chun-Li (who isn't?). She is the combo queen and I love nothing more than juggling the other guy in the air with multiple combos and supers.

Anyway I guess I don't really have a style...I usually just mix it up. I like to keep the other guy guessing and mostly react to what he's doing and take advantage of his mistakes.

I play as girls too (I'll play as Felicia, Elena or Kula in any game they'll ever be in), but it doesn't ever seem like I'm trading Power for Speed. In fact, they still seem to hit pretty damn hard. It's more like I'm trading Defense for Speed. To which, my solution has always been "Don't Get Hit."

Combocentric. My characters always need to have long, flashy, possibly impractical combos. To make it all work my playstyle is usually pretty passive and opportunistic.

I actually don't have a patricular fighting style. I usually just play with a bunch of characters in fighting games. Whenever I start with a new fighting game I just fool around with the characters until I find one that:

a) I pick up relatively quickly
b) Isn't overly used or high tier (hate tier whores)

I can say I gravitate towards characters who highly emphasize mindgames and trickery. It's so satisfying just to cheese it up on Blazblue or Street Fighter and piss people off  .

I'd like to consider myself to be a technical fighter, meaning I like to utilize the characters (that I'm using) complete movelist. I like to change it up and try to keep my opponent guessing. I'll never use the same move back to back. I don't jump alot. I use punchs and kicks more than most gamers. I do alot of blocking and countering. I try to stay close to my opponent during the match, thus utilizing his/her throws.

Yup. Guess that's about it.

I play to cause as much frustration in my opponent as possible. Goading them into making foolish mistakes and then punishing them for it.

When it comes to characters, I commonly choose the ones that are good in rush-down tactics.

When it comes to movesets, however, I commonly prefer the Rekka Ken-style: (QCF/B + P/K) X3

Examples: Daigo's Phoenix Fist
Iori's Deadly Flower

Depends on the game, but usually I prefer the big, nasty guys with mountains of HP and Defense. I can survive the fast character's initial wailing, and with a small combo bring them down just as much.
