An early 20s crisis is usually something along the lines of, "What am I doing with my life? Do I need to totally change and redirect?" and is categorized typically by uncertainty of where to go and what to do with oneself. The mid-life crisis is usually along the lines of, "How did I get where I am now? Did I make a mistake in getting here? Was my path in life the right one? If it wasn't, am I too far along to change? I feel stuck!" At least, that's my understanding.
Oddly enough I got that "how did I get where I am now" crisis when I was 25. No friends, no first kiss, and a job that I not only hated, but it was the night shift and seasonal. A few years later and I am in an objectively worse situation of being unemployed and not finding a part-time job, having mental health problems that put me on disability, and having to move back home. Although I have a partner and some friends and will move in with my partner this year. Even with this, I feel a hell of a lot happier than I did during that crisis. Strange how that works
