My simple, and great Steak "method".

Get a good steak, strip, sirloin, flatiron... etc.

- Let steak get to room temperature <--- this is key
- Brush olive oil, or grape seed oil on each side.
- Season with fresh ground sea salt and black pepper
- Let sit for 30 min or so
- Get the grill super hot
- Throw the steak on the grill and cook for 4 min on each side (no more, no less)
- Pull steak(s) off and let the steak "rest" for 5 minutes or so (allows the juices to re-distribute through the meat).
- Enjoy!

Protip: Don't EVER pierce your steak (amongst other things), use tongs when flipping and removing the steaks. If you pierce it, you'll lose all that tasty juice.

I do just about the same thing. I like to use mccormicks montreal steak seasoning instead of salt and pepper though.

I think they make a spicy kind but I haven't tried that. This one's already sorta spicy.

濁り酒 Nigori Zake
Nigori Zake is a cloudy, unrefined sake that's usually served cold. I'm no expert on sake but from the few different kinds I've tried, this is my favorite. By the way, sake is the only alcoholic beverage that tastes good to me.

Look in the shot glass here. You can see how cloudy it is.

I like McCormicks (sp?) stuff too. In small quantities. Heh, the first time I used it I poured it on without thinking (it was cheap steak again) and it was potent!
