What are you playing?
Re: What are you playing?
I still get so pissed about it. Warner Bros destroyed it. The first two FEAR games are still some of my favorite FPS's of all time. I tried playing FEAR 3 twice and couldn't get far. Definitely in the halls of shitville alongside Red Faction 2 and Perfect Dark Zero.

FEAR 1 will always be my favorite of the bunch. Has the best scares and the best gore. The guns that just evICORATE people are just so fucking silly. I love it. Use a shotgun against a guy literally tearing him in half, or turning him into mist. And don't get me started on the gun that pins people to walls XDXeogred wrote:I still get so pissed about it. I honestly dig Fear 2 the best graphics/physics were amazing on PC and it's just very well laid out and super long. Plus it's the only game thats literally raped me so I'll always have fond memories
.
Re: What are you playing?
Yeah, that is quite possibly the best shotgun in FPS's next to Doom's super shotgun.

The original Soldier of Fortune's shotgun is hard to beat.

Do you mean the Xbox game or the SNES/Genesis game? Because the SNES Soldier of Fortune's shotgun (the Thug's weapon) is absolute garbage XpExhuminator wrote:The original Soldier of Fortune's shotgun is hard to beat.

Re: What are you playing?
He probably means the PC FPS and whatever it was ported too. They were known for their crazy detachable limbs and violence at the time, haha. Good stuff.
But in FEAR... a well placed perfect up close shot with the shotgun can literally make a guy completely explode, completely 100% turned into nothing but dust and blood. Dead like Kamehameha'd Cell. Hilarious.

Not the SNES/Genesis game, and none of the subpar SoF sequels.PartridgeSenpai wrote:Do you mean the Xbox game or the SNES/Genesis game?
I'm talking about the original Soldier of Fortune for PC by Raven.
One of the best damn FPS games ever made:

Raven? They made Singularity! That would explain all the really brutal limb removal (especially with the shotgun and sniper rifle) in itExhuminator wrote:Not the SNES/Genesis game, and none of the subpar SoF sequels.PartridgeSenpai wrote:Do you mean the Xbox game or the SNES/Genesis game?

I remember playing the demo for Soldier of Fortune...well, the multiplayer demo anyway. Then we went back to playing Action Quake II.
Anyway, this weekend I forged ahead in Nioh, since I figured I should finish that before starting something else in earnest. Closing in on the final few missions.
