Frown: So many people think they are constitutional scholars today. I am weary of asking people if they actually know what they are talking about.

Smile: The Texas GOP accidentally made one of their planks a stand against the teaching of critical thinking in schools. If irony was a fuel source, we'd all be driving hummers.

Whoops @ Texas GOP.

What are people referring to the constitution for incorrectly? The Holder thing or the PPACA thing? Seems to me Roberts decision was kind of ingenious in that it had an answer for those that wanted to see an individual mandate unconstitutional under the Commerce Clause, but didn't strike down the law.

I've been playing DKC3 lately and I really like it. It'll get harder (kinda) but it's not nearly as frustrating as DKC2.

Frustrating? I loved the challenge! I hunted high and low for those secrets! I felt so accomplished upon completing Animal Antics! At least the bosses are really stepping things up so far.

FROWN: A fellow Maine Racketboy user alerted me to an amazing craigslist deal. Problem is the location: it's many hours away from me.

And that's the problem with Maine craigslist... It's not divided into regions like nearly every other US state... it's just MAINE. And while the population of the state may be low, the landmass is absolutely huge. I can't even begin to list the number of times I've stumbled across an awesome deal only to realize the seller was 4-5 hours north of me.

Oh man do I feel your pain there. Vet bills can just absolutely slam you sometimes. Had to dump a good 2-3 grand out of my savings to get my current puppy up to speed. In some of the final days of my previous dogs life I more or less completely drained my account.

Hope all works out for you and the kitty though.

Frown: I recently paid off all of my loans but student loans. I tired to apply for a new loan and small increase in my credit limit on my credit card today and was told I couldn't get another load due to my student loans are too high and no credit history.

The credit history is a bit stupid because I've had a ton of loans at the same time with other places and would pay all of them back ahead of time, but they said it didn't count because it wasn't with THAT bank and I only took out two loans at THAT over the course of 8 years.

My student loans are high because I'M IN SCHOOL, even though they are pretty much frozen right now (cause I'm in school) and I pay them down when I go to work full time. I had a loan of 8,000 last year and paid it down to 5,000 but no, it wasn't good enough for them for my debt ratio.

What really pissed me off is that a year ago when I tired to apply for another loan, they told me that if I paid off my current (not counting my student loan, I even ask them about it) I could get another loan. I'm going to have to find a co-signer now.

Got to agree on DKC2, at least. Got that the year it came out and the challenge level was perfect. Was quite an accomplishment to get 102% and all the Hero coins!
