Have you ever had a work day where you go in expecting everything to be a big pile of shit for you to wade through, only for the stars to align and have everything go smooth as butter?

I love those days. Man that feels good.

Today was one of those days for me too. Bringing home a fat paycheck on top of it is just fantastic.

My work day was odd, because the power went out in the whole town for an hour. We ended up closing early, but whatever, I got paid. One pair of customers who had come in right before the power went started ordering pizza without even leaving the building. Seemed odd to hear someone ordering from one restaurant inside another.

Smile: As i've mentioned to many of you, ad nauseum i'm sure, where I live there are really only about 4, sometimes 5 months out of the year where it stays warm enough at night that i'm able to stain/poly woodwork. So, I try to keep really busy this time of year. I finished my cab 2 weeks ago - last Saturday I built a vanity and today I got some doors made for it and started to trim it out.

Gonna go do first coat of stain now. Pretty happy w/it so far:





Should be done by Sunday, i'll post a finished pic then.
