I had an unopened envelope containing a D-video cable for the Gamecube. The post-mark shows it arrived in this country sometime before 2/27/10. (I initially thought this was "from the future" last week, except I just hadn't caught up to 2011 yet.)

Yay?

On one-hand, this is an uncommon, borderline-rare accessory for the Gamecube that can be used in a variety of ways.
On the other hand, who on earth would have D-video terminals in the United States?

I've been to most if not all of the HPB in my area as well as some in TX and have never seen video games. I know some do but I guess I didn't luck out on that.

Some of the ones around the various Chicago suburbs stock tons of video games. Just about anything they can get their hands on since they have room in their store. The selection is great but they charge between eBay - Amazon prices if the game's worth any more than five dollars. The one's that only stock video games every now and then are where I've found deals.

Grabbed a lot of Sega 32X games off of GameGavel last night. for about $25 shipped, I bought Knuckles Chaotix, WWF Raw and Primal Rage, all loose.

Now, to get my hands on a 32X.

So I go to the Salvation Army store today and go inside, place was a madhouse, lines 20 people+ long, but I thought I would fight my way through and see if I could find anything good. Well I'm glad I did, I went back to where the consoles and games usually are and nothing, but looked around a bit and on a shelf usually reserved for old cameras and cell phones what did I see, 2 thats right 2 Wavebird controllers! Flipped them over and on the back they are marked 2, wow 2 wireless Wavebirds for $4 bucks, just awesome, I looked for the receivers but no dice, so I stood in that aweful line and finally got up to pay, the lady rang them up and it was a grand total of $2.19. Everything in the store was 1/2 off, that's right $1 each for them, apparently that was the reason for the unusually long lines. Going to look for receivers on ebay but even if I don't find them these will work with the ones I already have as backups or what not, so I am happy.

walked into goodwill with my girlfriend the other day and i wasn't expecting anything grand, but then she points my attention behind me and lo and behold, there's a fallout 3 cardboard standee for $5. i've got it torn down at the moment but when i get it set up i'll post pictures. i'm really, really, really psyched about this.
