Walk the Moon. Love most of their tracks. It's like 80's dance rock combined with modern electro pop. Good stuff. Guitar, keyboards, good vocal lines with backing from the rest of the band.

I just listened to a mix on Beats of 2015's Grammy Nominee's. Almost everything was terrible.

Not that I should expect any different, since the Grammys have been a joke for ages now. But, seriously, Beck receives album of the year for his blandest record to date. Nobody seems to notice that Sam Smith's well loved "Stay With Me" is just a mopey and needy rehash of Tom Petty's melody from "I Won't Back Down". Meanwhile, Sia, who had a lovely track a few years ago with Breathe Me decides to sell out and autotune her lovely voice and prance around like every other generic pop tart in Chandelier, and now she suddenly has the Grammys attention. Meghan Trainor decides to write some tacky song with lyrics about being All About That Bass (sounding like she got lyrically inspired by some crappy "NOW That's what I call EDM!" compilation), but instead of making actual bass music she has a teeny-boppy little piano vamp and she sings like she's new country. And Iggy Azalea really should win an award for least listenable pop star who still manages to remain famous in spite of all forms of what one might call musical taste, though Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj nip at her heals for that title relentlessly.

If it's not clear: I hate modern pop music.

Heh. I used to know when the Grammys were on, watch them, and actually care at one point in my life, but I think I only did that for a couple of years before realizing that whoever makes the big category picks are the biggest goddamn musical morons in the country. Beck's album was soooo bland and uninspired. That said, fuck Kanye's "Beck needs to respect artistry and he should have given his award to Beyoncé" idiocy. He's increasingly becoming a caricature of himself, despite still making good music.

That said...Kendrick Lamar, Jack White, and Aphex Twin won awards, so at least some good music was recognized. All of them are putting out great stuff right now.

Isn't the Grammys just some kind of circle jerk?

A bunch of music industry dudes selecting the "best" music from the music industry. Snooze.

@J T, totally disagree on Sia and Iggy Azalea. I really liked both of their albums from last year. I mean I agree that Chandelier isn't Breath Me, but that isn't Destiny either.

Came across the artist, Long Arm which has some pretty sweet instrumental production stuff for anyone who likes Bonobo, Kid Koala, Cinematic Orchestra, etc.)
GENRE: Instrumental
Long Arm - "When Children Sleep"

As well as revisting some of edITs work with the album "Crying over Pros for No Reason". This is some wonderful glitch/glitch hop production work.
GENRE: Glitch/Glitch hop/instrumental
edIT - "Ants"

Lastly, found this catchy, well done remix of the ridiculous rap song "Coco" by O.T. Genasis
GENRE: Hip Hop/Instrumental
Chazzzy - "COCO CHANEL"
