Does knowing how a TV works no longer make it a "Magic light show box" or a car no longer a "Explosions make the wheels go round wagon" too? I find it just as interesting to know the little details that go into things as well as the overall picture. *shrug*
That's not what we're talking about at all. I don't want to see the actors of my favorite movie sitting around having coffee, discussing the relationship they had with the director, or complaining about issues they had during production. I'm interested in the story or personal experience that movie brings, and the same goes with games. It absolutely breaks immersion for me.

You wouldn't be watching that while watching the movie. Are you still immersed after the movie is over? What happens when you watch another movie with the same actor in it? Have you never watched on a late night talk show talking about a movie they're in that's in theaters? Can you never watch anything with James Earl Jones in it because WTF is Vader doing on Earth? Were you stuck thinking about bananas in tailpipes when watching Shrek?

If you just don't care to watch behind the scenes stuff, fine. I just don't get how they'd be any more jarring than seeing actors in any other capacity other than in character in the movie or TV show.

I assume every actor is secretly identical septuplets.

Picked up Watch Dogs for the PS4 and Mario Kart 8 for the Wii U today... Truly next gen action experience vs kiddy racing kart racer.... Dominating new platform vs (supposedly) failing platform....And yet I am already seeing the nostalgic kid in me is going to win and I will be playing Mario Kart way way more. Funny how that works.

You're just being argumentative now. I don't want to see how a movie or game I enjoy is made because then it stops being a story for me and starts becoming a bunch of technical procedures. I don't likethat. A game, movie, or even music compilation is always about producing something greater than the sum of its parts, and I think that behind-the-scenes and making-ofs detract from that. You like them, I don't.

Megaman Wily Wars runs at 50Hz instead of the proper 60 in its European release. I wonder if its partly to blame for its poor reception.

You could force European games to play at 60Hz with the Mega Drive, right?

Of course.

Name changes were always par for the course though. I remember when Nintendo Power was hyping "The 7th Saga II" and "Legend of the Fire Emblem."

I forgot how bad Psychonaut's camera was. In the PC version it's controlled with the mouse but it has clearly been mapped into a controller's analog controls which makes it wonky and imprecise. And if you use a controller, the game is even worse because the game has a habit of making your character move in circles.

:(
