Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
Smile: Great day at the arcade today. Got to see some out of state friends, and had my best game of Nibbler ever.
Two and a quarter hours netted me 51,054,420 after quite a few suicided lives.
Ticked: My arm hurts a lot now and I'm totally going to be regretting this tomorrow.

Finally got around to replacing the shell on my ds lite with a broken hinge. After hours or watching youtube videos and fiddling with it. It won't power on (bottom screen flashes that is all. I guess I should disassemble/reassemble but I don't want to at the moment.

Smile- My dead beat cousin moved out today. He's moving to Nebraska.
Ticked- He left a bunch of his crap in my basement and garage.
All in all, I'm still smiling. Nothing like having your house back to yourself.
Also ticked- It's 108 degrees here today. I'm pretty sure you could cook an egg on the sidewalk.

Turn that ticked into a smile by selling his stuff and keeping the money. Tell him it's his rent fee.puke_face wrote:Smile- My dead beat cousin moved out today. He's moving to Nebraska.

Ticked: I still haven't gotten my paycheck from last month, because the woman who signs my invoice had a question about an entry. Instead of asking me about it when I turned it in 3 weeks ago she instead gives it to the woman I meet once every 2 weeks and has her ask me about it, even though the woman I meet with explained to her why it took me longer to work on that particular project (Mainly that she asked me to make extra changes that month on that project.) Pisses me off
Smile: Going through all my new stuff
Freaked: I tested out all of my new systems before I got them, but obviously I didn't have time to sit there and test out every single game. I've been doing that slowly over the last couple of days. Last night it was time to test out the Sega CD games. I'd already tested Monkey Island (it was the first disk in the case) so I decided it was time to move on to the others.
Figuring I'd start with the shiniest of the collection I hooked everything up, popped in Popful Mail and turned the system on. The Sega CD screen popped up, then switched over to another Sega screen with Sonic waving his little finger at me. I danced merrily out of the room to get a drink and came back in a couple minutes later only to see.....that same screen with Sonic.
Damn.
I got out the directions for the system and Popful Mail..."*blah blah blah....game should load. If it doesn't, turn off the system and try again." Okay then.
I did and it froze again on that same damn screen.
Uh oh.
I got a regular music cd and tested that. No problem. Then I pulled out Monkey Island again. Started right up. I popped in Popful Mail and tried again.....Nothing but blue hedghog.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! No God! Why?! Not that! Anything but that! Take Sonic CD, God! Take Ecco! Hell, take Lunar, at least I can play that on another system! Anything but Popful Mail!! *SOBS*
*takes out disk and looks forlornly at it*
*sniff* *sniff* *sni-*........ The hell is that?
*notices white smudgy substance on back of disk*
......
....
....
*runs for lint free cloth*
*Rub Rub Rub Rub Rub Rub Rub Rub Rub* *squints*.......*Rub Rub Rub Rub Rub Rub Rub Rub Rub *
*Puts disk back in....*
.....Sega CD screen.......Damned blue hedgehog.......
I swear to god Sonic if you piss me off again I'-
*blank screen*
Eeep!
....*red Working Designs Logo*
Hot Damn!
So, yeah. Apparently that cd case they were in (for who knows how long) left some sort of white residue on the back of some of the disks. Not all of them mind you, just some of them. That's why Monkey Island didn't have a problem booting up when I tested it, it didn't have any residue on it. So last night was spent gently rubbing gunk of the backs of several cds
Smile: Works fine now

I thought about doing that. I still might, but not quite this soon. I'll give him a couple of weeks first. He's one of those fellas that is just like Earl Hickey. He does a lot of bad things, but can't figure out why his life sucks, lol.BoringSupreez wrote:Turn that ticked into a smile by selling his stuff and keeping the money. This made me pretty darn happy today. The FBI ran a forum for people to buy/sell stolen credit card data, then busted a bunch of them

Need FreeMCboot? I'll install it on your PS2 Memory Card for free if you cover postage both ways.
Consoles: I have too much stuff
Arcade: No seriously, I have too much stuff. Someone grab a shovel and dig me out of my basement.
Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
Also think I witnessed one guy at my work try to sabotage someones job here. This chick was on her phone about school, and it happens sometimes, though I think this guy tattled on her so this new boss we're getting was just hiding beyond these fridges staring at her for like 5 minutes (it was insanely awkward walking by them and seeing this). Then I guess he pulled her out of the warehouse and gave her an instant final warning. There was a lot of obvious cue's though that this co-worker of ours... looks like he set this thing up. There are truly evil people in this world with no balls (why couldn't he have confronted her about the phone himself?).
I've seen several instances of this elsewhere with others... people who look like they're just out to get others fired. I can't fathom this, this is the kind of place where when we're down one person for the day, it hurts everyone a lot. I guess they just want to bring on more suffering to themselves as well? Huh.
Hope I can put up with this longer. I definitely have to move out this year but damn, I feel like I'm barely holding onto this place. Feels like it's at the point here where if someone goes, others will probably follow.

Good to hear you solved your gaming woe.
