Now is the time to get your PS2 games at Gamestop.
Inexpensive, and a huge Selection. Get them before the the cases and manuals get tossed!
I decided to take your advice and head down and check out the Gamestop. They had stuff marked up like crazy. They had Onimusha for $16.99 and I can't even sell it for a $1. Cheapest PS2 games with a case were $9.99 which were the sport games and whatnot. Then they had a whole rack full of just discs and they were all pretty much $9.99.
I've kind of figured that if you can get a game for less then $15 online then get it online. If a game is over $25 then you might find it a bit cheaper in stores because they sometimes don't mark up their stuff as much. I think I saw .hack Outbreak for $19.99 which isn't a bad price but not exactly a deal.

Unfortunate, its a hit or miss. Some of the Gamestops in my area still have some games under $9.99 in the original case with manual. I agree though a lot of the games are in a generic cases thanks to their buyback policy and lazy stupid customers not keeping a game intact when selling.Shogun wrote:I decided to take your advice and head down and check out the Gamestop. What is so hard about putting a game and a manual back in its original case!

There are locations where the over zealous employee following corporate policy and tossed out all the cases and covers for games under ten dollars. Hit all the Gamestops you can drive to, some stores have not yet tossed out the cases unless a recent buyback. The website will list a current inventory for a given game.

DAV finds
Future Tactics PS2
Star Wars Dark Forces PC or IBM compatible
for $5.96
Saw Illbleed DC but didn't know what it went for. The lady was being antsy so I didn't ask about it. This was like 10 min ago. Now that I see the price it goes for online I am on my way back over there.

So today I returned the damned thing. Only, instead of asking my 35 euro back I asked the guy if I could exchange them for 'that pair of speakers in the corner right there'. I tried to sound as casual as possible when I asked for them, and he bit!... So I took home 2 Roland MA-12C micro monitors.
Not a videogame, but still this made me a very happy camper...
Definitely awesome

Yep it is the veteran thrift store. Not churchy and a lot of the good priced junk. I am going to try the Survival Horror genre again. But this might just get moved to my Trade list.
