Such a fantastic album man! For my money that's the best one in the Dropkick Murphy's back catalog (although I'm also quite fond of the slightly more Oi! sensibilities found on Do or Die when Mike McColgan was still lead vocalist). Sing loud, Sing Proud is definitely a landmark in the genre of Celtic punk, maybe even one of the cornerstones.Hobie-wan wrote:Dropkick Murphys – Sing Loud, Sing Proud (Irish flavored punk/rock)
Have you checked out Street Dogs at all? That's Mike McColgan's (slightly) more recent band, although once again I would say the style of Street Dogs draws more from Oi! than it does from celt punk. They're pretty awesome as well, although you don't get that sense of traditionalism you might find on Dropkick Murphys album.
