Games Acquired 2016
Re: Games Acquired 2016
I just debugged the Saturn, looks like it's a problem with my mod board. I'll resolder the connections and see if that helps. It's run like a champ for ten or more years.

Re: Games Acquired 2016
My Japanese games came, but they sent me King's Field II instead of King's Field 1 as was pictured!
I'd complain, but I don't even think they'd have a replacement to send me, so I guess I'll live with it. It was only like five bucks after all.
That game doesn't mess around though. Just press start and BAM! "You're in the game, good luck!"

Re: Games Acquired 2016
That's annoying. I bought the first KF earlier this year and most listings were around $25-$30, fyi.
Re: Games Acquired 2016
I will be getting Homefront: Revolution when it comes out. The only foreseeable game purchase I will be making. Not including FFXV, assuming its good.
P.S.
Also FFVII Remake... hopefully they don't screw it up.

Re: Games Acquired 2016
I've been in a Metal Gear mood lately, so I just picked up Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection via Amazon Warehouse Deals for PS3. I sprung a couple of extra dollars for a sealed copy with unused PSN codes for MGS1 (Awesome!) and MGS: VR Missions (Meh). Quick question for y'all, does anyone know if the included PSN codes have an expiration date on them? Was I foolish to spend my two extra dollars in that fashion?
Re: Games Acquired 2016
Off to a good start although I have a feeling my incoming amazon orders are going to change that

Re: Games Acquired 2016
So after finally getting an HDCRT with component option, I decided I finally wanted to try using component cables for Gamecube games. Not wanting to buy the obscenely expensive actual Gamecube ones, I went for the Wii option instead, although I sold my American one a while ago because I had a Wii U and Gamecube.
Therefore, I went down to the local games shop and got a just the Wii console (My Japanese one uses all the other relevant hookups and the Wii U uses all the same Wiimotes) and a set of component cables for just a little over 20 bucks.
I wasn't sure if I'd be able to see the difference, but even in just the Wii boot-up menus, it was pretty damn stark. Then in the Gamecube games themselves, hot DAMN! that's a really stark contrast in how much better it looks. I can see why people who've done it are all the rage about it. A very worthwhile upgrade I'd say, if you play a lot of Gamecube games at least.

Absolutely. Well worth it cheap (Wii cables) or expensive (original GC cables)PartridgeSenpai wrote:I wasn't sure if I'd be able to see the difference, but even in just the Wii boot-up menus, it was pretty damn stark.
