You've officially got no legs to stand on with this argument. The beheading scene hit even harder, the baby killing was there (and worse really), and the entire thing pretty much went along with the comic and was as brutal. Game over. If anything, the show has a bigger sack of nuts.
Yeah, that was pretty awesome. That was about as close to the comics as AMC would probably allow, with a few nice changes that fit the show. I'm not complaining. Good stuff

I'm impressed with what they did let happen, but I hope to high heaven they step it up a bit next season. Last season and the current season had real ups and downs, I just wish it could stay consistent.

Although, I think the killing of the baby in the comics hit you a bit more just because it was a bit more graphic.

It's debatable I guess, but
a certain other show had a pregnant woman being stabbed in the stomach and that image still haunts me

True, but I really would have been shocked if we had actually seen it on screen. I really feel like its a cop out, and that the baby will be alive on the bus at the start of the next season.

Yes it was clearly telecast that the governor would go back to his old ways, but that's due to the lack of subtlety in the writing. It's like saying that Anakin was evil in phantom menace just because you know he'll go to the dark side by the 3rd movie.

I thought the bodies with murderer, rapist, etc. labels was ok, but then they got way too on the nose with it with the zombie family being kept in the closet and the heads being collected. Again, that episode had 0 subtlety right from the beginning, with him pinned between an RV and the tank, although I think if they had stuck with just that shot it would've been good.

Tonight's finale was spot on though. Except the governor deserved worse. I love seeing the villain get what's coming, and I was hoping that michonne would finish him off by grinding the tip of her sword in his remaining eye.

I think what we saw is pretty much the farthest television is willing to go to depict that sort of thing. Given the brutal and merciless nature of the episode, I'm inclined to believe that they weren't playing around with it. I do agree it's entirely possible we'll see the baby alive, but as far as character death goes this show hasn't been big on cop outs from the get go.

You need to watch Game of Thrones. They go places The Walking Dead doesn't...and that's really saying something after last night's episode. Game of Thrones is just THAT effed up. But I guess pay channels can pretty much do what they want.

The way he died is a bit of a shout out to the comics. The way the books did it was slightly more interesting though. What happened there was....
Lori got shot in her pregnant belly, effectively killing both her and the baby. The governor's people saw that and realized what a monster he was, so one of them shot him in the head. Michonne had nothing to do with his death at all.
On another note, Daryl needs to be in the next Expendables movie

That was a pretty good episode, loved it. I lmao when black dude got a bullet shot right through him but daryl picks up a decaying, rotting zombie to use as a sheild and the same AK's, AR's, .45 cal rifles they dump in the thing and nothing goes through. That's just nitpicking though. Is herschel's head a bitter now, lol?
