It's very rare for me to enjoy a making-of on any game, movie, etc. that I really like. It kind of ruins the magic for me in a way.

I've always heard that if you enjoy sausage, it's probably better that you never see how the sausage is made...

Whatever happened to the Ouya? Any reason I want to buy one? Not sure what is the advantage of this system since anything on it can be played on any modern console PC.

I hate those videos where they just over-praise their product like its the most amazing thing. I think I have seen products with mediocre reviews where behind the scenes videos employees are just over promoting their product like its the best thing to happen to the human race.

It sometimes work when something revolutionary comes along like the iPhone announcement or Macbook air (laptop that fits in an envelope )but most of the other time its just ....

Now Apple speaks of every product, every earphones like its made from alien technology.

The funny thing I have seen some awesome products with behind the scene videos where people who worked on it act like they are bored and don't care :)

Very few, definitely not the three you mentioned. Maybe Lucky and Wild and other late 80s early 90s released. The issue with those three are that they use CHDs, which the Wii would not be able to handle.

I doubt they will get the number of pre-orders they got for the first one....

Edit: Here's the problem with Ouya. You can do everything on a PC that you can do on Ouya and you can do it better. Ok, sure you might not be able to play all the EXACT same Android games. But you can find better or equivalent games in every category on the PC platform. You can emulate virtually any legacy system on PC. You can use the controller you want to use instead of the crappy Ouya controller. There are ways to hook a PC up to a modern TV or stream it to the TV. What is Ouya for?

As far as I know, no, the N64 is unique.
That's what I figured. I just feel weird having a console for so few games.

That's what I was wondering....ever since I heard of it, it sounded like a great idea but the further time went on I started wondering, why don't I just play on pc or a console since most of these are available on both

Actually, they're revamping it to be a software platform, versus making a revised console (though technically they did release a slightly updated one in January).

On that front, it's more a matter of Android apps designed for TV use, since most aren't. Some successes, I guess.

The hardware they've released can make a fairly decent emulation/XBMC style box. Sure, a PC can do that too, or a modded console, but as an option an Ouya isn't bad. It's small, it's relatively cheap, TV-centric, and easy to set up. /shrug
