PS2 White Controller - $5.00
Its not a PS1 but a PS2 controller. Not rare, but uncommon to get a PS2 version in white. Model number SCPH 10010, I wonder if this is an import?

They released a white ps2 slim in the US (came bundled with singstar). But I don't know if they sold white controllers separately.

Very likely came from a Singstar white PS2. However, BookOff has a lot of Japanese stuff and I can't picture anyone selling an uncommon white controller cheaper then the five bucks it was sold for. Maybe it came from Japan from a PSX2, making this a step closer to my dream machine. Crazier gems have been found!

I had a pretty nice run this weekend. I've been pretty much Gamestop hopping in hopes to find some fun and complete, very good condition PS2 games.

These are all complete and all in very good condition:

Zone of the Enders (even has the MGS2 demo disc) - $2.69
Eve of Extinction (heard some good things about it for a beat em up) - $2.69
The Bouncer (never got a chance to try it, another beat em up) - $2.69
Kya: Dark Lineage - $2.69
Bombastic (also known as Xi Go) - $1.79
Daisenryaku VII - $2.69

Amazon:

King of Fighters XI - $5.49 like new from Warehouse Deals

Among other stuff, but yea I'm losing track.

I'm still pretty new to collecting but the best find so far is Earthbound for $25 at a mom and pop pawn store. Most of the SNES games there are $5-$10 - which is strange its like they knew Earthbound was fairly valuable but still under priced it.

Anyway, Earthbound is definitely my favorite RPG for the Snes, but I couldn't bring myself to pay 100+ for it from ebay. It's still as fun as I remember it too!

SNES Rarity Found at Goodwill

Every now and then, there's a find that is both exciting and annoying at the same time. I had that find today :)

I walk into Goodwill and see this in the glass case:

I make a mental note to grab that on the way out, it's not worth too much and its pretty useless without the bike, but it's kinda rare. But like a good thrift shopper, I wonder if there might be more related pieces around...

First I run into this:

Then I start to try and picture what else would be needed and I figure that something must connect the console to the bike. I dig around a bit and find this:

Finally I wander over to the open area of the floor and find the final piece:

So now I'm looking at the prospect of lugging this thing home. Fortunately my WRX wagon is surprisingly cavernous and I was able to fit it in and get it home.

I really don't have any room for this thing, and I'm not such a hardcore SNES collector that I really have any interest in keeping it. But I did feel that strange obligation to rescue it from its probable fate - there was a guy test riding the bike when I saw it, and he looked interested - it would have only been a matter of time before the pieces got all separated from one another, especially since the bike is really nice and heavy duty, like something you'd find at the gym.

I'll probably try to clean/fix it up and see if I can find someone that's looking to TRULY complete a SNES collection ;)

Oh, here's how the price broke down:

Game - $1.99
Controller - $1.99
Console Base - $1.99
AC Adaptor - $.99
Exercise Bike - $9.99

Total with tax of $18 and change.

OMG.

When I saw the first picture of the cartridge I was like "yeah? Big whoop." And then as yr thread went on I was like

Great job on the detective work! It certainly seemed to pay off!

I wish the Goodwill stores around here actually had decent stuff. :(

my friend sold me both metroid prime games for $10. that's an average price. I'm really enjoying the first one, more than I did when I was younger.

Very nice find. I wouldn't want to keep it either, but surely someone else would and it would have probably ended up half trashed for sure.

Also, yay Scooby wagon. I just got a Saabaru myself. :)

Little update on my Tekken 5 Stick.

Picked it up at the post office today, lame postman didn't even try delivering it saturday, just left one of those we missed you cards

The ad for it said stick only.

Turns out it was the Stick, the box, and the little collector's gatefold to keep all the tekken games in up to 5. The gatefold hadn't even been opened.

All in great shape. Just need a copy of Tekken 5 and i have the whole set.
