^yeah it was that one Boney

So I'm listening to SUZISUZI, a short lived project fronted by the ex-vocalist of the awesome defunct Japanese metalpunk band Yellow Machingun (who I love to death.)

This live set's the only thing available, but the sound is solid. If you're into speedy punky metal (or really metaly punk?) it's worth giving a listen! (and if you like it you should give Yellow Machinegun a shot, they're in a very similar vein)

But yeah I love this.

Pussy Galore ‎– Historia De La Musica Rock (noise rock)

Only had this on tape back in the day. Rectified the hole in my CD collection.

Just playing through some Eluveitie stuff for shits and giggles.

I would really like if I could find some more rock oriented folk mixes in this direction. The Celtic Rock stuff does alright, but it tends to sound to much like something a bunch of drunks at a bar sing with. I think that's the point, but I have someone who really wants to find some folk rock that's closer to something Eluveitie or someone similar, that isn't metal. (The harsh vocals are hard on their ears, and they are blind so they can't research music on their own, so its kind of hard.) Essentially, I just want the really folky sounding tunes and guitars, with the occasional bit of hard chugging and maybe some yelled or gravelly voiced lyrics to mix it up. I don't know where to find this though, because trying to look up folk rock doesn't bring up what I need to find.

I've been really into ambient music lately, it's a nice change from my usual punk and metal. Right now listening to Aquascape - Underwater Stranger, just ordered the album too.

I love some ambiance from time to time, I'll have to give that a listen when I get home.

You ever check out Sigur Ros?

I was really skeptical of new Faith No More being any good, but I really like this. Sounds like a natural progression from Album of the Year.
