Yeah, I don't get the lukewarm reviews. I get that this is leftovers from The Division Bell, but my early read is that I like it much more than I ever liked TDB. Yes it is long jams and scant vocals, but it just sounds like Gilmour, Wright, and Mason at the top of their game and that's nothing to sneeze at.noiseredux wrote:The Floyd is exciting.

With all his heart problems I'll still give him props for all of it, he's still doing pretty well considering.AppleQueso wrote:I'm listening to a 2014 live performance of Motorhead and... well it's actually pretty depressing. The band is slow and Lemmy sounds like he's out of breath and can barely keep up.

And I still rather see him live than Willie Nelson...
EDIT: Just throwing this in, my metal tastes are now like 90% doom related, or in the other "classic" sounds, and it really throws people who hear it randomly off.

I clicked on the link and was delighted to see an advertisement for a Rustic Overtones show. (My wife, like everyone else in Maine, has two or three of their albums.)

Ok. I heard this song on the radio. Since I live in Detroit, it is being played every 5 minutes on a particular radio station (no joke). I know they are sampling from a video game in the background. What game though?

Yeah I figured any pre-reunion stuff would be out of the question.aaron wrote:seriously bring earplugs. loudest band i've ever seen. i was kinda disappointed because all they played was shit off the The Seer.BoneSnapDeez wrote:Just got tickets to see.....

I figure this time it'll be songs from To Be Kind. I don't own that album yet, so maybe I'll hold off buying it until I see them live.
And yes, I'll have earplugs. Generally a good idea to tote them along to any concert anyway.
Haha, I've seen them live like 7 times, but never intentionally. They were always playing at my university and whatnot.prfsnl_gmr wrote:I clicked on the link and was delighted to see an advertisement for a Rustic Overtones show.
