As someone who runs a mom and pop shop, I'm pretty psyched that we arnt getting shafted for a larger entity like Amazon. Talked to my sales rep at Hyperkin yesterday and my initial shipment has arrived and is ready to be shipped out. I cant wait and I know I have several customers who cant wait either. Its gonna be a pretty small batch at first, but I'll take what I can get for the time being.

how much are you going to be pricing your retrons? do you get a wholesale price?

I figured that Amazon wasn't going to get any units that's why I mentioned it before.
I don't even care at this point, it will show up when it shows up. I'm not letting go of my cheap pre-order. I definitely agree that Hyperkin could've handled this entire situation a lot better. They clearly need to hire a project manager... and a good one at that.

Honestly, and I hate to even say this, but this is the feeling I'm getting to. And sometimes "when it walks like a duck, and talks like a duck..."

It's a pretty rotten and shitty thing to do. The fact that they aren't even commenting on it is telling as well. If they just said straight up that they want to support the mom and pop brick and mortor stores first....hey, I'm cool with that. I think that's a good thing. But being sneaky and not commenting on stuff, after all the delays as it is, just rubs me the wrong way.

When it comes down to it, I'm still going to buy the system. I have been (slowly) building up my NES/SNES/Genesis library since last year in anticipation for this thing so I'm not just going to forget about it now.

I hear ya. This thing better run immaculate after all the delays they put us through. I can't wait to finally close the Hyperkin Facebook tab I've had open forever

Thanks for your update there Crabmaster. At least someone's getting what they ordered.

Best advice I can give right now - hang on to your cheap pre-orders. $40 isn't worth having it right now. I'm just saying this because for some people, going onto Hyperkin's FB and saying "I'm canceling my pre-order *expletive* to Hyperkin!" is apparently going to impact them and their current strategy. We'll be served, eventually

If not, I think there's plenty of people who will be more than willing to set up a lawsuit against hyperkin

No lawyers, however. I suspect that the company's assets are not worth the cost of pursuing them.
