Mega Man X6...I do this to myself every year. I do not know why.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Funny how sometimes we are drawn to stuff we know isn't that great. I keep re-installing Streets of SimCity, even though it's one of the suckiest games I've ever owned. Just something about the cars with guns...

Really, it's not that bad dude. Yeah, it's the worst MMX game (arguable though, X5 is equally as bad imo), but it's still solid MMX gameplay. Have you played it on hard? I haven't played X5 or X6 on hard mode, but X6 on hard mode is absolutely bone-crushing, and I love it.

Finished Donkey Kong Country for the first time a few days ago. Now working through DKC2. I will probably be playing quite a bit of DKC: Returns on the Wii with my girlfriend this weekend.

DKC2 has a great soundtrack btw. :D

I'm currently playing some Tomb Raider on the Saturn. Other than the fact that the controls are a little stiff and you can hardly make sense of your surroundings, it's not that bad. haha
I'm wondering if it'd be a good idea to pick up a 3D controller for this game. Thoughts, anyone?

Yeah, I frequently call MM X 6 the worst of the series, but for a hardcore MM X fan it does have a few charms. I wouldn't say I completely hated it. Honestly though, there isn't a MM X game I've played that I considered completely irredeemable. I enjoyed MM X 7 more than most people. I thought MM X 8 was solid, and I consider MM X 5 to be almost as good as MM X 4. Just that randomness with the story that's annoying

I wouldn't say that MM X 6 had solid gameplay though. The level design was a bit off and the controls for Zero were a bit effed up, but you can certainly get around those issues with practice and still enjoy it. MM X 6 is passable I'd say, clearly rushed and lacking in polish, but still an okay X game. I just don't think there's ever been a truly awful MM X game, just games that range from mediocre to great

Megaman X6 is just one of those impossible games for me. I don't think it is possible to complete the game using certain armor types either, I had the shadow aromor and used that toward the end of the game but there was this bit that was unpassable in the shadow armor.

Just caught up with a friend for a bit of Gain Ground in hard mode, Columns and Virtua Fighter (all on the ps2 Mega Drive Collection) and then a bit of the new-ish Street Fighter on 360 to cleanse the palette!
