Yet another big title, Far Cry 4, announced for cross gen release. We are a YEAR plus into this "next gen". This is pathetic. I'm all for options, but in this case it's doing absolutely nothing good for the industry. Can they please let go and move on? With the PS3 still getting heavy focus into 2015 even... will the PS4/Xbone finally be relevant in 2017 or something? That doesn't even sound like an exaggeration at this rate.
I don't even have a PS4/Xbone, and want them to have more exclusives. How does that not sum it up. I'd love for there to be reason for me to want one. I definitely don't see that now or anytime soon.
Ehh, give them this holiday season and you'll probably find a reason to want it as more devs will probably start to adopt it this year and start trying to release games on it. Plenty of indies all around but no truly next AAA on them from what everyone keeps saying since most of those are still on last gen as well as this one

I think the good games do not roll until like a year after release. The Wii U has been out for a year and a half, PS4 is just 6 months old I think its even less in Japan.
You will probably see your first few good exclusives next year this time, and by the second year there will be some 6 or 10 PS4/XboxOne games .
I think the only console that launched with great exclusives was the Dreamcast

I'm cool with getting stuff on the 7th gen consoles still. Prevents me from having to buy new systems. Very happy to see Bound by Flame wasn't exclusive to the PS4 for instance. And the next two Tales games will be on PS3.
Now if only we could get 7th gen versions of the Witcher 3 and Dragon Age 3. I can't have it all I suppose.

I think the new Batman game Arkham Knight is PS4/Xbone only. I think we'll see a lot more exclusives announced at E3. Well, I hope.
On the Far Cry 4 thing, it sounds like Ubisoft is taking the Assassin's Creed route with that franchise (releasing a new one each year). Personally I thought Far Cry 3 was way overrated (and the AC line as well) so I'll just skip it. Not a fan of Ubisoft myself. They make average games.

Dude, I remember people saying this exact same thing last gen. Don't worry about it, the PS4 and Xbone haven't even been out a full year yet. We were still getting Xbox games in 2006 and PS2 games into 2008.

And there is a reason, if you want to play the best looking/running/etc. console version of the game. You only need to look at games like Titanfall to see that the older version is not the way to play that game.
