Looks really interesting. Have you seen Cemetery Man? Have you seen House of the Devil? Just wondering. Anyway, I should check this out.
Cemetery Man is the shit, even though I'm not even sure about what it is about

AKA The Iron Rose
I LOVE Jean Rollin films!
They're always so hauntingly beautiful, yet simultaneously cheesy. Lots of nudity and ghouls, always; and like you said, very surreal cinematography. I swear, some of the camera movements in these films are breathtakingly clever.
I haven't had a chance to watch The Iron Rose yet, but I'm sure it'd be right up my alley.
Thanks for posting.

Worst found footage film I've ever seen? Probably. It could have been a great horror film, too bad they forgot the horror![]()
That poster's tagline. Seriously? WE DID GO BACK TO THE MOON! LIKE 11 TIMES AT LEAST!

Thanks Noise

And I haven't seen either of those yet, but they look really interesting. I do remember you mentioning House of the Devil before. I'll add them to my list....It's getting kind of long.

That's all right. La rose de fer wasn't terribly comprehensible in parts either

This was my first Jean Rollin film and you're right. There's quite a bit of nudity (I'm sure that's now cemented a lot of peoples decision to to now see this film.) In fact, it involves one of the most beautifully shot sequences of the whole film. The camera work is not only clever, but beautiful (except for maybe that one extended sequence were the camera started spinning round and round that made me a bit nauseous).

Caligula

Any film that features Malcom McDowell and Peter O'Toole on a single frame with 5 people on the background having hardcore sex is awkward. Watching it with friends is even more awkward and that's exactly what I just did, my friends asked me so many things about the film and it's content that they said "Fuck it, lets watch it", one of them became physically ill, the other was surprisingly happy about the sexy women in the film
, although I think it's absolutely disgusting
.
It's still fairly entertaining due to the fantastic performance by Malcom, he's absolutely into the character and it's insanity

Malcolm McDowell is a superb actor, both in this and in A Clockwork Orange.

I watched Blade Runner again last night. God, I love that movie:

By the way, anyone else ever think she would make a good Irene Lew?

He is also pretty cool in Halloween 1 and 2 as Dr. Loomis. And yes, Peter O'Toole is pretty awesome in the beginning and he managed to stay serious even though he's walking upstairs with a guy actually masturbating in the background.
