Pokémon Go
Re: Pokémon Go
Well, at about 4:12 I saw all the ghosts disappear from my radar. So I guess that means the event is officially over now. It was nice while it lasted.
Re: Pokémon Go
The event is officially over. Not before I was able to get one last Marowak with great CP, a perfect appraisal and Mud Slap/Earthquake. That's the one to keep!
BUT, all is not lost fellow trainers.

Ok now that is cool.
I hope things advance into more often done holiday bonuses. Globally you do have a few solid ones over time from Christmas, Easter, etc. If they do account for regional or national holiday you can roll in quite a few others. If they dont wish to offend even a 4x a year 1wk long seasonal bonus would be nice following the halloween model.

Re: Pokémon Go
5000 XP for 7 days of something most of us do every day? Oh yes! More items too! I've got 2 stops a half mile away in either direction, so this is a no brainer.

Re: Pokémon Go
More good news today.
You'll be seeing more diverse Pokémon across the board as there will be fewer Pidgey, Rattata, and Zubat spawns, and replacing them will be other different types where they usually appear.
Also, no more Pidgey or Rattata in eggs.
Eevee will now only be in 5km eggs, so no more 10km disappointments!
Speaking of which, new 10km Pokémon for me today -- JYNX! Pound/Ice Punch & 942CP.
Niantic's making all the right moves, may they continue their streak.

Re: Pokémon Go
I'm beyond happy as today I was starting to bore of the game as so little variety is here. And I'm fed up with eggs as the last month all I seem to get are shitty pidgey, rats, and caterpie with weedle. Eevee was overrated at 10km too. I hope this rolls out fast. Once the event ended nothing at all today but birds rats one eevee which is low and one weak koffing. I ended up just shutting it off after awhile.

Re: Pokémon Go
I finally got a new (to me) smart phone about two weeks ago, so I'm back in the game. My old iPhone 4S was crashing like crazy on Pokemon Go. My new~ish HTC one M8 plays Pokemon Go like a champ.
I have help a gym for four days now. That's the longest time I have ever held a gym. This makes me re-think my gym strategy.
Also, I'm finally mastering the curveball throw. Now I can pretty reliably land a curve ball with one single throw.

Re: Pokémon Go
Finally used my new Lucky Egg and did my mass-evolution today. New guys include:
Ivysaur (916CP Vine Whip/Solar Beam)
Charmeleon (855CP Ember/Flame Burst)
Nidoqueen (1571CP Bite/Earthquake)
Nidoking (1519CP Poison Jab/Sludge Wave)
Clefable (1321CP Zen Headbutt/Moonblast)
Wigglytuff (1355CP Pound/Hyper Beam)
Poliwrath (1391CP Bubble/Submission)
Alakazam (1019CP Confusion/Psychic)
Machoke (972CP Low Kick/Cross Chop)
Victreebel (1420CP Razor Leaf/Sludge Bomb)
Dewgong (1213CP Frost Breath/Blizzard)
114 Caught / 128 Seen
Also evolved another Gengar and Vileplume, and I found a 1630CP Snorlax! His stats are kind of meh, but he'll make a nice HP wall in the Gyms. I'm also currently 1 candy short of evolving my Magikarp *so clooooooose*
I'm still holding two Gyms from my trip last week (down from three) and I have another three that are still holding strong here at home. So today I just I dumped my new Snorlax at a Park Gym and picked up some stuff on my usual re-stock trip.
I had a ton of potions, and was planning on taking on one of the Lvl 10 Gyms in town, but after about a half an hour and only knocking it down two spots, I realized the task was more time consuming than first thought. So that idea will have to wait for another day when I can wake up a bit earlier.
All of the work today put me at a little over half way to Lvl 26. So, not bad, I'd say.
